A former celebrity nanny is spilling about the encounter that might have gotten her fired from caring for a star athlete’s family.
90 Day Fiancé alumna Stephanie Matto, 33, took to TikTok to divulge some of the details — though not all, since she says she signed a non-disclosure agreement — of her ill-fated experience working for a high-profile family.
She began her tell-all video by explaining how she “was a perfect candidate for this family.” Matto was attending acting school at the time, so she was free to pick up the daughter from her private school in the afternoons and take her to their residence on New York City’s Upper West Side.
Matto also filled the family’s needs for someone bilingual who could also play the piano.

“They immediately hired me,” she continues in the TikTok, which amassed over 668,000 views within two days of its upload. “This job seemed like any other job, very routine. The daughter was super well-behaved. But there was one thing that was very, very strange, and that was the father.”
Matto says she and the girl’s dad rarely interacted, save for the infrequent occasion when he was home during her shift. During their interactions, the ex-reality star says the athlete became increasingly interested in her life and work as an aspiring performer.
“I told him that I was in acting school and he said, ‘Oh, I should have figured. You're so beautiful,’ ” she recalls. “I took the compliment, but now looking back on it, I see that this was a red flag.”

Another time, Matto claims her famous boss “[pressed] his body against me” to reach a kitchen drawer she was blocking while preparing food for his daughter. Once again, Matto brushed it off as an insignificant encounter.
For her part, Matto says she doesn’t keep up with sports, so she had no idea who her new employer was — “But when I told my stepdad who I was working for, his jaw dropped,” she notes in the now-viral video.
Then, the TikToker says, things took a “very, very weird” turn. She got a new Instagram follower with a team logo as its profile picture, and due to her total unfamiliarity with professional sports, she didn’t recognize the design as belonging to any one team.
“This account that's following me starts to slide in my DMs and is saying things like, ‘You're so very beautiful.’ ‘I wish I could get a chance to get to know you,’” Matto explains.
“One day I put two and two together when the father comes home during one of my shifts,” she says in the nearly three-minute confessional. “He's wearing a cap on his head with the logo that I recognize is from that Instagram profile. My heart sank into my stomach.”
When she returned home after work, the content creator resolved to confront the Instagram user. She sent a message warning, “If it is who I think it is, they need to stop,” but she says she was still uncertain about her anonymous follower’s identity.
“At this point, I think it's maybe, I don't know, like a 1% chance that it is this guy,” Matto says in the video, referring to her athlete employer.
“A couple of hours later, I noticed that this person is no longer following me and they're no longer on Instagram,” she says. “And two days later I get a text message from the family letting me know that they no longer need my nannying services.”
Matto left her story open-ended, claiming that she’s still not sure if the father was behind the messages or if it was really just a coincidence.
In the video’s comments section, many TikTok users agreed that the ex-babysitter’s instincts were spot on, and the athlete was most likely behind the online flirtation.
“Definitely it was the Dad!!! He had you replaced because he knew you weren’t gonna play with him,” one person wrote. Another added, “He realized you were too smart.”
Other replies suggested the athlete’s wife might have been “testing” Matto to see how she would reply, though the former babysitter didn’t mention any interactions with her boss’ partner in the video. However, Motto did seem to confirm her boss was romantically involved in response to one comment reading, “Shoulda told his wife."
“I didn’t feel close enough to the family to get involved like that,” Matto replied.
Regardless, the negative nannying experience was enough to cut off Matto’s high-profile childcare career. “Ever since then, I've never gone back to nannying for rich people,” she concludes at the end of her video.
