Goldie Hawn 'weeps' at daughter Kate Hudson's emotional song

Goldie Hawn "weeps" when she listens to daughter Kate Hudson's song about motherhood.
The 'Almost Famous' star has recently launched her music career and shared the moving single, 'Live Forever', in tribute to her 20-year-old son Ryder - whom she has with 57-year-old musician ex-husband Chris Robinson - and her Hollywood actress mother, Goldie, 78, is overcome with emotion when she hears it.
She wrote on Instagram "My daughter's talent has transcended just being a proud mother to pure awe.
"This song makes me weep for the bittersweet truth about motherhood and growing up together. A must listen."
In a statement about the track, Kate, 44 - who also has five-year-old Rani with fiancé Danny Fujikawa and Bing, 12, with her Muse frontman ex-fiancé Matt Bellamy - said: "I was so young when Ryder was born.
"I look back and marvel; I was almost a kid, too, so we were able to fall in love with growing up at the same time. And when you listen to the song and watch, it sweeps you up like someone's arms around you.
"Our babies leave us eventually and we have to watch them go take on the world. Some of us were so young that we were trying to figure out who we were simultaneously. That's this song for me."
Kate recently teased that her debut record will be "very personal".
She told PEOPLE: "It's really fun. I'm really enjoying it. The writing process was the most important and cathartic for me."
"I wrote the songs, so they're very personal, and each one is a different kind of expression of myself. Every [song] will feel different, but obviously, I think, very authentic to me."
Kate - who found fame as "Band-Aid" Penny Lane in the movie 'Almost Famous' - previously revealed that the COVID-19 helped her to move forward with plans for a music career.
Speaking on 'The Tonight Show' with Jimmy Fallon, she said: "You know, I had this thing [during] COVID ... Every time you're doing interviews, people are like, 'Do you have any regrets?' I go, 'I'm early 40s... not yet.' But during COVID, I was like, 'You know, what am I doing?'"
Kate released her debut single, co-written with her fiancé and songwriter to the stars, Linda Perry, in January.
Speaking about the track 'Talk About Love', she said: "You only have one first single,” . And I wanted it to be something delicious and sexy and all the things that I believe in.
“I wanted it to be open and seeking, searching to find something powerful. But I also wanted the music to be the rock, the pop, the dance music and even a bit of the alternative records I love.
"It was a lot to put into one song, but thankfully, I had some wonderful people working with me. And so, here we are!”
