Grey’s Season 20 Trailer Teases Teddy’s Fate, Arizona’s Return and… Is That a New Love Interest for Amelia?
Nearly a full year after the Season 19 finale of Grey’s Anatomy, the long-running ABC drama is finally set to return on Thursday, March 14, at 9/8c. And the trailer that the network dropped Thursday sure makes it look like it will be worth the wait.
Grey’s Anatomy Season 20: Everything We Know, From When It Premieres to Which Cast Members Are Returning
Not only do we get our first peek at Jessica Capshaw back in action as the much-missed Arizona Robbins, but we are introduced to Dead to Me vet Natalie Morales’ Monica Beltran, a pediatric surgeon with a knack for rubbing people the wrong way. Early on, there is also a shot of Kim Raver’s Teddy Altman — not that we were too worried about Owen Hunt’s better half, what with the actress’ contract-renewal-news breaking before her character had ever flatlined.
Per the official logline for the premiere, titled “We’ve Only Just Begun,” “Meredith rethinks her plans [for curing Alzheimer’s] after going rogue in last season’s finale. The interns are on thin ice following a patient’s death, but Simone and Lucas are immediately tested in an emergency. Richard confides in Bailey, and Teddy’s fate is revealed.”
