Hamish Blake hasn't held his baby girl yet
Hamish Blake has given his first interview since the birth of his daughter Rudy a week ago.
Speaking with Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little on their Hit network radio show this week, the comedian admitted, “I haven’t been able to hold her.”
The proud new dad revealed his three-year-old son caught a “terrible virus” a week before the birth that Hamish then caught.
The 35-year-old said of his little girl Rudy: “She’s lovely, and I enjoy looking at her from a distance or behind a surgical mask, but you’re right now talking to a guy with pink eye and a lot of stuff going on."
"Everyone’s saying ‘Enjoy the baby bubble, enjoy the baby bubble’ — I’m in a Hazmat bubble! I have to go through the full Ebola wash-down before I can get near my child,” he revealed to the radio duo.
And when the hosts asked Hamish how his wife Zoe, 36, was going he replied with: “Champion. Champion birth. Inspirational. Ultimate mum.”
Hamish and Zoe welcomed their gorgeous little girl last week.
Zoe shared the news on her Instagram account Wednesday, sharing a snap of her daughter who was born on Monday.
"Introducing Rudy Hazel Blake. Or, as she's known in hip-hop circles, the Notorious RHB. Or, as she's known to her brother, Blobby The Sister," The Wrong Girl writer captioned the image.
"She was born on 17-7-17 cos she's super into auspicious numerology, came in at 4000/10 on the Teeny Cute Person scale, and has morphed her parents into gooey love monsters."
Meanwhile comedian Hamish was up to his fun tricks when he shared a snap of his little girl, adding an amusing caption next to the sweet photo.
"Admitting another patron into the nightclub my wife and I run (I'm security, she's the DJ)," wrote the True Story with Hamish and Andy host.
"We have a fairly strict door policy as you have to be a child of the DJ and/or bouncer, so it's always great to get someone new through the door. The photo copy I took of her license says her name is Rudy Hazel Blake and I'm just about to tell her it's a $12 cover charge.
