Heida Reed leaving “FBI: International” during season 3

The new season debuts in February.

Heida Reed is leaving the FBI: International force.

The Icelandic star, who has played Special Agent Jamie Kellett since the show's first season, is exiting the series early in season 3 due to creative decisions, EW has learned.

The CBS crime procedural, which hails from Dick Wolf, is the third version of the FBI brand of shows, and follows the elite operatives of the Budapest-based Federal Bureau of Investigation’s International Fly Team. The team works throughout Europe with the mission of tracking and neutralizing threats against American citizens wherever they may be, putting their lives on the line to protect the U.S. and its people.

The team is led by Special Agent Scott Forrester (Luke Kleintank), who is often accompanied by his beloved Schutzhund dog, Tank. His second in command up til now was Special Agent Kellett.

News of Reed's departure comes a little over a week after it was reported that The Ark star Christina Wolfe was joining the show in season 3 as a series regular. And those aren't the only shakeups on the show: Showrunner Derek Haas exited the series at the end of season 2, and was replaced by executive producer Matt Olmstead for season 3.

Vinessa Vidotto, Carter Redwood and Eva-Jane Willis also star in FBI: International. Season 3 of the series will air on CBS on Feb. 13.
