The former Playboy bunny reflects on her time at the famous home as she launches her new true crime series 'Lethally Blonde'

Holly Madison is looking back on her time living in Hugh Hefner's infamous mansion.

The former Playboy bunny, 43, sat down with PEOPLE to talk about her new true crime series Lethally Blonde, which focuses on telling the stories of victims in the adult entertainment industry.

While reflecting on her years spent as one of the Playboy magnate's girlfriends, Madison recalled the strangest thing she saw around the property of the Holmby Hills home.

"They would have these trays everywhere, like in every bathroom, out on the tennis courts, by the pool, and it would be a tray with Kleenex, Pepto Bismol, Vaseline, baby oil, sunscreen — any kind of makeshift lube,” she says. “It was weird.”

With that in mind, Madison confirmed that the courts at the mansion weren’t just for playing sports.

The podcasting pro, who currently co-hosts Girls Next Level with friend Bridget Marquardt, adds that “people were out on the tennis court doing the deed."

Kleenex, Vaseline, baby oil and sunscreen aside, Madison did admit that she couldn't figure out why the bright pink medicine was included with the others.

“I was talking about it on the podcast, I'm like, 'What is the Pepto Bismol for? Is that hangovers?’” she says with a laugh.

Madison, who was in a relationship with Hefner from 2001 to 2008, has been open in the past about being pressured to partake in sex with Hefner, especially in group scenarios with the other women.

"It was more the group aspect that was really out of my comfort zone and just the feeling of 'Wow, okay, that happened. Everybody knows it happened,' " she said during an appearance on the Power: Hugh Hefner podcast in 2021. "I kind of all of a sudden felt like everybody was going to know about me, and I was horrified by it."

The bestselling author tells PEOPLE now that the drawbacks to her experience in the world of Playboy were mainly centered around having to “live at the house" and her relationship with Hefner.

“My experience that played with the negative parts of it are more related to the relationship and the relationship dynamics, both with Hef and some of the other girls,” she says. “I 100 percent enjoyed posing for the magazine. I was always a fan of the pictorials. I always wanted to be in Playboy. And I even worked at the studio producing the playmate pictorials for a couple of years, and that was a super fun experience. So, it's very multifaceted for me.”

Madison's new series Lethally Blonde airs Mondays at 10/9c on ID.
