‘The Hunting Wives’ Adds Karen Rodriguez, Michael Aaron Milligan & Hunter Emery

EXCLUSIVE: In recurring roles, Karen Rodriguez (Swarm), Michael Aaron Milligan (Outer Banks) and Hunter Emery (Orange is the New Black) have been cast in the upcoming Starz drama The Hunting Wives. Production is currently underway in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Written by Rebecca Cutter based on the novel of the same name by May Cobb, The Hunting Wives tells the story of Sophie O’Neil (Brittany Snow) and her family’s move from the East Coast to deep East Texas, where she succumbs to socialite Margo Bank’s (Malin Åkerman) irresistible charms – and finds her life consumed by obsession, seduction and murder.

Dermot Mulroney, Evan Jonigkeit, Chrissy Metz, Jaime Ray Newman, Katie Lowes and George Ferrier also star. Rodriguez will play Sheriff’s Deputy Wanda Salazar, Milligan will play Kyle and Emery will play Deputy Walter Flynn.

Showrunner Cutter executive produces with Cobb and 3 Arts’ Erwin Stoff. The series is produced by Lionsgate Television and 3 Arts Entertainment.

Rodriguez can next be seen in Apple TV’s Acapulco‘s third season in a recurring role opposite an ensemble cast that includes Eugenio Derbez and Damián Alcázar. Prior credits include recurring roles in Prime Video’s Swarm, Apple TV’s Shining Girls and Fox’s The Big Leap. She is represented by Gray Talent Group and Lasher Group.

Milligan recently recurred on the Netflix series Outer Banks as well as the Fox medical drama The Resident. He also starred opposite Sylvester Stallone in MGM’s thriller Samaritan and 20th Century Fox’s Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. He can also be seen starring opposite Garrett Hedlund in Desperation Road. Alexander White Agency and Brave Artists Management rep him.

Emery is perhaps best known for his role as corrections officer Rick Hopper in Netflix’s Orange Is
the New Black. He will be seen next opposite Colin Farrell in Max’s The Penguin. Additional credits include recurring roles on Starz’s Hightown and Harlan Coben’s Shelter on Amazon Prime. Film credits include Basement opposite Rizwan Manji and Crown Heights. He is represented by Stewart Talent and Insight Management.
