I'm A Celebrity 2024: All the clues for who's heading into the jungle

Here’s who we think will be appearing on this year's season.

It’s almost time for a bunch of semi-known Australian stars to be dropped into the South African jungle for I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, only for viewers to comment “who?” on social media.

The upcoming tenth season of the Channel 10 reality show will see longtime host Julia Morris joined by beloved animal conservationist and TV personality Robert Irwin for the very first time.

Ahead of the show’s premiere on March 24, here are all the clues for this year’s star-studded cast and the celebrities rumoured to be heading into the jungle.

National Treasure

“She may be Australia’s National Treasure, but her Logie won’t help her now.”

An additional clue on social media reveals that this celebrity has won a Gold Logie, which significantly narrows the list of potential contestants down as there are only 13 female recipients who are still alive today.

Considering Sonia Kruger and Lisa McCune are both appearing on Dancing with the Stars around the same time, Georgie Parker is likely contracted to Channel Seven as part of Home and Away, Asher Keddie has three TV series currently in production, Hazel Phillips is 94 and Maggie Tabberer is 87, and Kylie Minogue is well, Kylie Minogue, we’re left with six options.

There’s a high chance it could be either Denise Drysdale or Rebecca Gibney considering they’ve both been part of the Channel 10 family in the past on Studio 10 and Celebrity MasterChef, respectively.

Other female Gold Logie winners who could fit the bill are Sons and Daughters star Rowena Wallace, former A Current Affair host Jana Wendt, two-time Gold Logie-winning actress Kate Ritchie, and former host of The Project, Carrie Bickmore.

Hollywood Child Star

“A Hollywood Child Star is set to enter the jungle but are they prepared for the wild ride?”

This clue is much more broad as the list of former Hollywood child stars is endless, so it’s nearly impossible to predict who this celebrity might be. Fans would remember The Brady Bunch actress Maureen McCormick previously competed in season one, so perhaps one of her many on-screen siblings could be heading into the jungle.

A production insider also told Yahoo Lifestyle in January that Melissa Joan Hart is “the most rumoured contestant this year”. The American actress, best known for her roles in Clarissa Explains It All and Sabrina the Teenage Witch, began her career at age four so she definitely fits the child star description.

Mega Influencer

“OMG! A Mega Influencer is entering the jungle, but just how influential will this diva be without her creature comforts? Or will the jungle critters get the better of her?”

There are quite a few Australian influencers with over a million followers on Instagram, including Tammy Hembrow, Anna Paul and Kayla Itsines. Another potential option is Skye Wheatley, who has over 600,000 followers and came third on Big Brother Australia in 2014.

Radio Queen

“This radio queen is known for her rocky romances.”

While there are several ‘radio queens’ in Australia who haven't already appeared on the show, including Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, Amanda Keller and Kate Langbroek, the “rocky” clue points to one person only: Fifi Box.

Not only is her last name a potential nod to fictional boxing star Rocky Balboa, but Fifi is also currently dating a man named Rocky.

Fifi addressed the rumours on The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick on Wednesday and said that while she would never do the show, she's convinced the clue is about her. She also admitted that she has a holiday planned for the upcoming radio survey break, which suspiciously lines up with I’m A Celebrity's filming schedule.

Glamorous Sports Star

“For someone who is used to the roar of the crowd, hopefully the jungle sounds at night won't intimidate this gold medal winner.”

Fans are convinced this celebrity is three-time Olympic gold medallist swimmer Stephanie Rice, who won Celebrity Apprentice in 2013 and appeared on SAS Australia last year.

In 2015 she revealed that she had been asked to appear on I'm A Celebrity several times but turned it down because “it’s not for me”, however, she may have changed her mind almost a decade later.

TV Celebrity Cook

“Used to whipping up a frenzy in the kitchen and causing a stir, how will they cope with some rather unexpected ingredients on the camp kitchen menu?”

This TV celebrity cook is said to have “a flair for competition”, suggesting it may be someone connected to the MasterChef franchise.

Surprisingly, the show’s original judges Gary Mehigan, George Calombaris and Matt Preston have never competed on I’m A Celebrity, so there’s a good chance 2024 could be the year this changes.

In terms of contestants, Khanh Ong is clearly a favourite in the Channel 10 family having previously competed on two seasons of MasterChef and one season of Australian Survivor. He also recently made a guest appearance on the network’s brand-new revival of Ready Steady Cook, which could be a potential soft launch for his jungle appearance.

International Stage Sensation

“Ditching his famous family for the jungle, will this International Stage Sensation be ready to swap his star status for gold stars when faced with the ultimate trials and challenges? Being dropped into the wild may be the reality check this celebrity has not rehearsed for.”

The sleuths at PEDESTRIAN.TV believe this clue lines up with Frankie Grande, the brother of megastar Ariana Grande. Not only has he appeared on Broadway twice, but he also competed on Big Brother in 2014 and Celebrity Big Brother UK in 2016.

Fans have also guessed Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne’s son Jack Osbourne could be popping up in the jungle, although he doesn't exactly match the ‘stage sensation’ description.

Controversial TV star

“From the headlines to the jungle vines, this Controversial TV Star might be a hit with the tabloids, but will they survive the real snakes?”

No TV show brings more controversy than Married At First Sight and given how many former participants have popped up on I’m A Celebrity in the past, it’s very likely another bride or groom will be entering the jungle this year.

Season eight ‘villain’ Bryce Ruthven has long been rumoured to be appearing on the reality show, so perhaps this is finally his year?

Another more recent reality TV star who has caused controversy is The Block’s Kristy Beames, although it’s likely she’s still contracted to Channel Nine as the renovation show only ended in November.

Gold Medallist

“Our Gold Medalist is used to going for gold, but going for Gold Stars is not something that you can train for.”

Another clue for this celebrity is that they are “diverting from Paris”, which is the host city for the year’s Olympics.

Based on this, some fans are convinced freestyle swimmer Mack Horton could be heading into the jungle after he announced his retirement in January. The 27-year-old, nicknamed ‘Mack the Knife’, won a gold medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and is a four-time Commonwealth Games gold medallist.

Another popular guess on social media is Ian Thorpe, who has won five Olympic gold medals and competed on Channel 10’s Celebrity MasterChef in 2021.

Love rat

“A bad boy TV love rat is packing his bags for the jungle. As someone who is used to breaking hearts not eating them, this is one type of wild romance that won't disappoint.”

It would be a surprise if this celebrity wasn’t Ciarran Stott, who found fame on Angie Kent’s season of The Bachelorette in 2019 and previously told Yahoo Lifestyle he’d love to appear on I’m A Celebrity.

He has also appeared on Bachelor in Paradise, The Bachelorette Sweden, The Challenge Australia and The Challenge: Battle for a New Champion, so stay tuned to see if this ‘bad boy’ will be returning for his sixth stint on reality TV.

International Comedian

“Will this International Comedian, loved by the Royals, have the last laugh or will they be the butt of the jungle joke?”

Many people have guessed that British comedian Michael McIntyre, who poked fun at Prince William and Kate Middleton at the Royal Variety Performance in 2014, will be among this year’s cast.

Others have predicted that the international comedian will be Jack Whitehall, who famously bombed a gig at King Charles’ Christmas party, or Ross Noble thanks to his royal-sounding surname.

AFL legend

“Will this Hall of Fame recipient and Premiership winner be able to kick goals in the jungle as well as on the field?”

It’s no surprise an AFL star is heading into the jungle as there’s been at least one on every season, including Barry Hall, Dane Swan, Josh Gibson, Shane Crawford, Dermott Brereton, Dale Thomas, Billy Brownless, Travis Varcoe, Robert DiPierdomenico, Nathan Buckley, Derek Kickett, Adam Cooney and Brendan Fevola, who won season two in 2016.

With these names ticked off, many fans have guessed this clue is referring to former Brisbane Lions player Luke Hodge, who was inducted into the Hawthorn Football Club’s Hall of Fame last month.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! premieres Sunday, March 24 on 10 and 10 Play.
