Inside The Secret Restaurant Where Taylor And Matty Were Spotted On A Date
As Taylor Swift sweeps across the country with her Eras tour—a concert that has become the most coveted ticket of the year—the star has luckily still had some time for nights out with friends. Most recently, Swift was spotted on April 19 with close buds Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds exiting Casa Cipriani in downtown New York.
Unfortunately, the high-end members-only restaurant isn’t one of the many Swift-approved New York restaurants that you can check out for yourself. But, with some online digging, you can still get a vicarious inside look at the star-studded restaurant.
What Is Casa Cipriani?
Casa Cipriani can be found at the southernmost tip of Manhattan along the East River. According to its website, Casa Cipriani is located in the Battery Maritime Building and offers 47 guest rooms in addition to its multiple restaurants and bars.
Members have access to the Club Restaurant, Jazz Café, The Pickering Room, the Promenade Bar, and the Living Room. According to the Cipriani site, a New York individual membership requires an initiation fee of $2,000 and an annual fee of $3,900. Members are allowed up to three guests at any time.
Is Taylor Swift A Member?
It’s unclear whether Swift, Reynolds, or Lively, or all three of them, are members at Casa Cipriani. However, it’s safe to guess that Swift herself might be a member. Last summer, Daily Mail reported that Swift was spotted with ex-partner Joe Alwyn and close friend Lena Dunham exiting the establishment.
As Page Six reported, Swift and new beau Matty Healy were recently spotted on a date at Casa Cipriani. Guests who took illicit photos of the lovebirds allegedly had their memberships revoked for breaking the club's no-photo rules. After the incident, the club sent a memo to members saying, “It has come to our attention that images have been captured at the club in recent days that have infringed upon the privacy of our members.” The note made clear that “any member who violates these policies will face immediate revocation of their membership.”
Who Else Belongs?
It makes sense that Swift would frequent Casa Cipriani, given that the establishment offers a private environment for famous clientele to enjoy the space’s many amenities, like views of the Brooklyn Bridge, a gym, spa, and more. The New York Post reported that Drew Barrymore, Chrissy Teigen, John Legend, and Alicia Keyes are among the many fellow A-listers to belong to Casa Cipriani.
