As for the bride — who wore a custom Dolce & Gabbana gown for her walk down the aisle — the source said Culpo "was poised and elegant as ever."

"That’s just who she is, and the overall weekend represented that. It was very classic, traditional and elegant," the insider added. "It was just so cool to see two such busy people come together and it’s a testament to who they surround themselves with."

And it seems there was lots of joyful celebrating at the reception. "The dance floor didn’t stop all night!” the source noted.

Culpo told Vogue that she and McCaffrey chose to hold their ceremony in a 150-year-old chapel in Watch Hill because the San Francisco 49ers quarterback always wanted to get married in a church. “That was our number one priority,” she said.

She described marriage as a "covenant," explaining, "It’s the beginning of the rest of your life, and it’s the union and bond of two people forever."

Culpo also recalled how nervous McCaffrey was during the ceremony, which featured music from a string quartet that included her mother.

“Christian blurted out ‘I do!’ within the first 30 seconds of the ceremony,” she told Vogue. “The priest told him we weren’t quite there yet, and our family and friends had a great moment of laughter at his eagerness. As a bride, there’s no better feeling than your husband not being able to wait a second longer to marry you.”

The former Miss Universe also shared behind-the-scenes details of her modest bridal look for her big day. Her gown featured a ball gown silhouette with a drop waist, long sleeves and a crew neckline. She paired it with a 16-foot lace veil and a pair of 15-carat De Beers diamond earrings.

“I didn’t want it to exude sex in any way, shape, or form,” she told Vogue of her dress. "I wanted it to feel effortless and as if it’s complimenting me, not overpowering me."

“I never felt more beautiful than when I was in my ceremony dress and under my veil — I really wanted the simplicity of each component to harmonize perfectly,” she added.

Culpo said she also chose her bridal look with her now-husband in mind.

“When I think about Christian and what he loves and the moments that he thinks that I’m most beautiful, it’s absolutely in something like this: timeless, covered and elegant,” she told the magazine.

Following their ceremony, the couple celebrated with all of their loved ones at a reception at the historic Ocean House resort, per Vogue. For the occasion, Culpo slipped into another custom Dolce & Gabbana dress — an off-shoulder high-waist chiffon design with a handmade silk flower on the neckline. She made one more wardrobe change later in the night, donning a silk bodysuit with a mini cage skirt, both decorated with organza flowers.

The day after the wedding, Culpo told Vogue that she and McCaffrey are still soaking in the magical experience.

“Both Christian and I felt our wedding weekend starts our life together as a family,” Culpo noted. “I wanted everything to feel intimate but also include the gravitas of the moment.”
