Disturbing vision has emerged of the moment a young boy was allegedly snatched from his bedroom by an intruder in the early hours of the morning.
The chilling footage shows the moments after a sleeping 12-year-old was grabbed by a masked man, just minutes after his younger brother is alleged to have been dragged from his room by the same stranger, Perth Now reports.
A West Australian man is now facing a series of child stealing charges after the young boy was snatched and an attempt was made to abduct his older brother from their home in the state's Wheatbelt region.
The 34-year-old, who is not believed to be known to the boys, is alleged to have entered the home in Moora, 177km north of Perth, at about 4am on Friday.
Police say he took a seven-year-old boy from the residence before returning and attempting to abduct another boy aged 12, dragging him out of the house.
The older boy broke free and ran back into the home to alert an adult who notified authorities.
"He was scared and shaking," a family friend who was staying at the property at the time told the West Australian.
"I ran out the front and down the street (but) I couldn’t see anyone. So I jumped in the car and searched around town until police got to the house."
CCTV from the home, obtained by 7News and 9News, shows the chilling moment the balaclava-clad intruder allegedly tried to nab the older boy.

Police searched the area and found the seven-year-old at a nearby home just after 7am. Both children were taken to hospital for routine medical checks.
The accused man briefly faced court on Saturday charged with two counts of forcibly or fraudulently taking a child under 16, two counts of aggravated burglary, deprivation of liberty, using a disguise to commit an offence and destruction of property.
According to Perth Now, the accused was remanded into custody and will appear in court again in May.
Speaking to 9News, the boy's father said he was "proud" of the way he fought off his alleged attacker.
