Jack Harlow Wears a Stylish Gray Suit to the 2024 Met Gala with a Subtle Nod to the Event's Dress Code

The rapper took his Met Gala look to the next level this year

Jack Harlow made his fourth Met Gala appearance on Monday, May 6, and he might just have worn his best look yet. The rapper arrived in a Dior gray wool suit with a contrasting, silk peak lapel.

In a nod to the night's dress code — "The Garden of Time" — Harlow wore a Dior Lily of the valley brooch in his lapel. He finished the look with black leather derbies.

He was almost accompanied on the carpet by an adorable plus one: his puppy! PEOPLE spotted Harlow, 26, before he took the Met steps as he debated bringing his pooch.

"I ain't decided," he said. "Tryna keep an eye on her mood."

At previous events, Harlow has made less of a splash for his style and more for his interactions with Vogue’s Met Gala correspondent Emma Chamberlain.

The pair’s first Met Gala interaction in 2022 went viral for its flirtatious, goofy nature.

In a video of the interview, as Harlow leaves, he says, “love ya, bye” to Chamberlain, 22, who responds instinctively in kind. Then, her eyes widen, and she snorts, in realization of the moment that just happened.

The “First Class” rapper and host of the “Anything Goes” podcast capitalized on the viral moment and did a second interview on the Met Gala red carpet in 2023, which left fans hungry for more.

“The Jack/Emma interviews are now classics that I will forever look forward to," one fan wrote in the comments of Vogue’s YouTube video. "It HAS to end with 'Love you' as well. I don’t make the rules.”

Chamberlain reflected on the interview — and the buzz it caused — before the 2024 gala, telling Vogue, "I literally could have never predicted that in a million years."

For his first Met Gala appearance in 2021, Harlow wore a chic velvet suit with subtle blue-and-red stripes from American designer Tommy Hilfiger, keeping with the event’s dress code of “American independence.”

In 2022, Harlow stayed dapper in a dark chocolate brown suit from Givenchy, deviating from the “In America: An Anthology of Fashion” theme of that year.

Then, in 2023, when Harlow and Chamberlain reunited on the carpet, Harlow also returned to his Met Gala debut roots in another Tommy Hilfiger.
