Jake Gyllenhaal Packs a Punch with Conor McGregor in “Road House” First Trailer
'Road House' debuts on Prime Video March 21
Jake Gyllenhaal is busting heads in his latest film.
The actor, 43, stars in the first trailer for Road House, a "high-octane, adrenaline-filled reimagining" of the 1989 Patrick Swayze movie.
The new film also stars Daniela Melchior, Billy Magnussen, Jessica Williams, Joaquim de Almedia, Lukas Gage, Arturo Castro, B.K. Cannon, Beau Knapp and Darren Barnet, plus MMA fighter Conor McGregor in his first-ever movie role.
Gyllenhaal plays Dalton, an ex-UFC fighter who "takes a job as a bouncer at a Florida Keys roadhouse, only to discover that this paradise is not all it seems," per a synopsis.
Directed by Douglas Liman, this Road House is a reimagining of the one in which late star Swayze played a hard-hitting bouncer responsible for laying down the law at a rowdy bar. That film also featured Kelly Lynch and Sam Elliott.

"I'm thrilled to put my own spin on the beloved Road House legacy,” Liman said in a previous statement. “And I can't wait to show audiences what Jake and I are going to do with this iconic role."
On Monday, Gyllenhaal teased behind-the-scenes photos from Road House on Instagram.
"In the studio, putting the finishing touches on @roadhousemovie and feeling fortunate to have worked with so many talented folks throughout the making of this film," he wrote. "Over the next few weeks, can’t wait to share some of the preparation, people and moments that have made this one so much fun!"
Williams, known for her role in Shrinking, spoke to Variety in June about Gyllenhaal in the new film, saying, “It was so cool working with him. He’s an amazing actor. I was so excited to do Road House with Jake Gyllenhaal."
"He’s an insane actor. Every time, you’re learning," she added. "My job as an actor, especially on Shrinking, is to make everyone look good by knowing what the hell I’m doing on set. I love volleying, and I got to do that with Jake."
Road House is on Prime Video March 21.
