Brown’s casting was first announced last April, with the Emmy winner set to star as the head of security for a former president. (Fogelman will write the series and serve as an executive producer along with Brown.) “It’s not Randall,” Brown told our sister site Variety of his new role. “The character is completely different” in a “completely different milieu.”
Marsden recently earned his first career Emmy nomination for playing a comically exaggerated version of himself in the Amazon Freevee prank comedy Jury Duty. His other TV credits include Dead to Me, Westworld and 30 Rock. Shahi co-starred as Shaw on the CBS procedural Person of Interest, with recent roles on Sex/Life, The Rookie and City on a Hill. Nicholson won an Emmy for her role on HBO’s Mare of Easttown; her other TV credits include Masters of Sex, Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Boardwalk Empire.
