Jay Z addresses elevator fight with Solange

Ever since footage leaked of Solange going to town on Jay Z in an elevator as Beyoncé stood by and watched, the world has been wondering: "What ACTUALLY went down that fateful night?!"

While the Knowles-Carter clan have remained relatively tight-lipped over the 2014 incident, the 47-year-old rapper has finally addressed the violent clash with his sister-in-law! That's right, Jay spilled the tea... kinda. Relive the moment and watch the clip above.

Chatting on RapRadar, Jay was an open book when it came to professional and personal issues, including his relationship with Solange, and while he stopped short of going into all the details about how the altercation turned so violent, the father-of-three likened it to a fight between siblings.

"We’ve always had a great relationship. I fought my brothers and argued with my brothers my whole life. It just so happens, who we are, these things go into a different space, but it ain’t nothing," he said on the podcast.

"We’ve had one disagreement ever. Before and after, we’ve been cool. She’s like my sister. I will protect her. That’s my sister. Not my sister-in-law. My sister."

While fans have been waiting years for someone, anyone, from that elevator to speak out and give us the goss, sadly we have been left in the dark.

Queen Bey, kinda, sorta, spoke about her remix of Flawless singing, "We escalate, up in this b***h like elevators / Of course sometimes s**t go down / When it's a billion dollars on an elevator".

It was vague, but it still sent the Bey Hive into a frenzy.

Most recently, Jay appeared to publicly apologise to Solange on his new album 4:44 in a track called Kill JayZ.

"You egged Solange on / Knowin’ all along, all you had to say you was wrong / You almost went Eric Benét / Let the baddest girl in the world get away / I don’t even know what else to say / N***a, never go full Eric Benét / I don’t even know what you woulda done / In the future, other n***as playin’ football with your son," Jay raps on the track.

Jay opened up about the track on the podcast, candidly revealing it was about "taking off a mask and killing off the ego" so he was able to "have a different kind of conversation" with fans.
