Jenna Ortega ditches the highlights for her impossibly shiny natural dark hair
Jenna Ortega pretty much launched the shaggy wolf cut back in 2022, but it is long gone. Because there is nothing shaggy about the silken glossy lob she just walked the Emmys red carpet with. Wowza. And it's not just the style that's changed. The California native has long sported sun-kissed highlights in her dark tresses, adding to her casual cool, but she's let them grow out almost completely and if you thought her glass-like shine was impressive before? You have to see it on her deep brunette un-dyed hair.
The work of hair stylist Bobby Eliot, her collarbone grazing locks have had their choppy layers tamed into Hollywood waves and face-framing bangs, and it's dripping elegance. As are her pale rose quartz nails by Thuy Nguyen that are going straight on our vision board.
Rounding out the glam is Melanie Inglessis's ethereal lavender haze sparkling makeup, a playful luxury moment that ties into Jenna's magical Dior gown, in hue and in spirit.
It was the Emmy Nominee's first time at the awards ceremony and she took a very special date with her, telling her Instagram followers: " What an honor to attend my first Emmy’s last night, with my gorgeous mom, as a nominee. I’m so incredibly grateful for this experience and so proud to have gotten to represent our show last night!! "

In the red carpet lighting, you can see there are still touches of the star's highlights through the ends of the hair but they're firmly on the way out. Just another sign that embracing your natural hue is set to be a big trend for 2024.
