Before Jennie Garth met her husband Dave Abrams, she had a very different picture of who he was!

During the May 8 episode of her I Choose Me with Jennie Garth podcast, the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum, 52, and her husband, 42, opened up about their first date. After finalizing the dissolution of her second marriage to Peter Facinelli, Garth was set up on a double date by one of her friends.

"I wasn't really even at the place of wanting to meet anybody," she explained. "But I was at the place in my life after the divorce where I had done a ton of work, and I was finally happy on my own. I felt really strong, really confident. And then she [suggested a blind date], and I was like, 'Okay. I'll practice. Let me practice. I need to practice dating.'"

Ahead of the meet up, Garth revealed that she "googled" Abrams and to her surprise, a Chippendales dancer with the same name popped up during the search.

"If you're out there, Dave, you've got a nice physique," Abrams quipped before Garth went on with her recollection of events.

"Anyways, but I thought I was going on a double date with a Chippendales [dancer]. I knew by the time I got to the restaurant, I knew you weren't Chippendales dancer," she continued, before describing how she immediately spotted a "tall man" who was "really handsome" standing by the bar. To her surprise, he ended up being her date.

Though the two didn't exchange many words during their outing, Abrams recalled following her out to the valet. When he asked if he could call her sometime, Garth gave him the opportunity to follow her to another location instead.

They eventually met up at another Los Angeles establishment called Cafe Stella and had a drink at the bar.

"You started to make me laugh, almost instantly," Garth smiled. "And I was like, 'Hey, he's not just a pretty face. He's actually funny and fun to hang out with. I liked this guy.' And you were hot, which started to like, change my mind."

Abrams shared the same sentiments, "I thought you were, like, fun and beautiful and refreshing. And to the point. Not a lot of bulls---."

When it came time to part ways once again, the two shared their first kiss. Afterwards, Abrams recalled arriving home when he got a text from Garth extending an invitation to "the babe bar."

Turns out, the "babe bar" was actually Garth's house "and then we had a nice evening [and] we chatted."

"The rest is history," the actress added.

The pair married in 2015, with Garth filing for divorce in February 2019, before the couple reconciled later that same year.
