Jeremy Strong and his wife Emma Wall lit up the 2024 Tony Awards red carpet.

The couple appeared in coordinating black tie ensembles, Strong, 45, once again embracing his favorite clothing color, brown. The Succession actor wore a brown velvet suit jacket and white collared shirt with black pants, a black Western bow tie and black dress shoes. Wall, a Denmark-born documentary director, looked elegant in a simple black dress with a textured bodice and accessorized with a layered pearl necklace. Both Strong and Wall's looks are bespoke Loro Piana.

At the Sunday, June 16 award ceremony, Strong took home the award for best performance by a leading actor in a play for his role in An Enemy of the People. He was nominated alongside William Jackson Harper, Leslie Odom, Jr., Liev Schreiber and Michael Stuhlbarg.

"I felt overwhelmed," Strong told PEOPLE of his emotional acceptance speech. "I was on stage today a few hours ago. It's a very different thing to disappear into a play than it is to stand up as yourself in front of your community. But I felt overwhelmed with gratitude."

He continued, "To be honest, any contest when it comes to creative work is inherently ridiculous, so this belongs to me just as much as it belongs to William, and Liev, and Michael, and Leslie. But I feel very honored and moved."

Strong and Wall met at a party in 2012 and were married in 2016. The couple shares three daughters.

As further evidenced by his Tonys look, the Emmy winner has a penchant for wearing shades of brown, a quirk he readily admitted in his February 2023 profile in GQ.

“My wife told me that somebody said something like, ‘The three things you’re going to be certain of are death, taxes, and that Jeremy Strong will be wearing brown. I don't know, It's inexplicable," he told the outlet about his go-to look, which he also called "monastic chic."

He went on to explain: "I spend so much of my life wearing costumes, I feel almost denuded in my style. It’s so consistent and neutral that almost anytime I put on any wardrobe, I feel profoundly different from my baseline self.”

Earlier this month, Strong told PEOPLE that he has no interest in reprising his role as Kendall Roy in HBO's hit drama Succession, which had its series finale in May 2023

“I'm sure there's a desire for more [Succession],” the actor shared “I would really pass that buck to [creator] Jesse Armstrong."

"But I think in terms of the role that I played, he came to his terminal point," he adds. "So for me, that’s something that is very happily put to rest.”

The Tony Awards are airing live from Lincoln Center in New York City on Sunday, June 16, on CBS (8 ET/PT) and stream on Paramount+.
