As a wife and mother-of-three, Snooki is all about keeping it real.

That’s why it’s hardly surprising Snooki - whose real name is Nicole Polizzi - took to Instagram just two weeks after giving birth to her third child, son Angelo James LaValle posing in an itsy bitsy bikini.

In a post to her more than 12.5 million followers, the 31-year-old modelled one of her own ‘Snookini’ collection bikinis alongside a seriously relatable caption.

“#SNOOKII @thesnookishop,” the reality star captioned the mirror selfie. “If you zoom in I’m still wearing my diaper.”

The former reality star is known for her candour with fans — and she even shared a postpartum update shortly after giving birth.

“Four days postpartum and body is feeling good besides the fact that my cramps still feel like contractions!” she wrote.

“Still healing but can’t wait to jump back into the gym hardcore this summer! Time to be a fit mawma again for my nuggets (sic).”

The post earned backlash from some for supposedly prioritising fitness over enjoying her first days as a mom of three.

The former party girl wasn’t having a bar of it.

“Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but don’t attack me for wanting to become strong and fit again after my pregnancy,” she hit back in a follow up post.

“My boobs are leaking and pulsating, my butthole is sore and my cramps are unbearable and I’m still wearing a diaper the size of Texas.’

She added she should be allowed to look on ‘the bright side’ without being punished.

Another famous new mom has also been making headlines for sharing the realities of life as a new mom.

Amy Schumer marked five weeks of motherhood to son Gene Fisher by sharing hilarious photos of herself hiking and napping while wearing maternity underwear.

“Five weeks,” Schumer captioned the post to Instagram. “Hospital underwear for life!”

Mesh undies, diapers — it’s all part of the miracle of life!
