“I want John to be remembered,” says RoseMarie Terenzio, one of the authors of the new biography
Today, Gallery Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, announced the upcoming publication of JFK Jr: An Intimate Oral Biography.
Based on over 200 interviews, the book will be a deep and compelling look at the son of the 35th President and First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, featuring never before seen photos, and interviews with some of his closest friends, confidants, lovers, classmates and colleagues at George Magazine, and more than a few surprising revelations.
The oral biography, written by Liz McNeil, an Editor at Large at People Magazine, and RoseMarie Terenzio, who was John’s chief of staff at George Magazine, (and with a cover shot by photographer Anne Marie Fox) will be published on July 16, to mark the 25th anniversary of the tragic plane crash that ended his life as well as that of his wife, Carolyn Bessette, and her sister Lauren Bessette.
“I want John to be remembered,” says Terenzio, also the author of the New York Times 2012 bestselling memoir Fairy Tale Interrupted about her friendship with John and Carolyn. “John was one of the most famous people in the world but he never let himself be trapped in the solitude of fame. And that was natural. It was just how he chose to live.”

“There was no one like John F. Kennedy Jr," says McNeil. "He was so curious, not only to learn about other people but also to figure out who he was apart from his famous family. This book is our exploration into who John really was from the voices of those who knew him best.”
