Joe Manganiello Goes on Coffee Date with Caitlin O’Connor and His Beloved Dog Bubbles

The couple made their red carpet debut at the Children of Armenia Fund (COAF) Gala in December

Joe Manganiello is a proud dog dad!

The actor, 47, was spotted carrying his beloved dog Bubbles as he grabbed coffee with his girlfriend Caitlin O'Connor in Los Angeles on Friday.

Both were dressed casually for the outing, with Manganiello sporting black shorts, a Versace sweatshirt, and sunglasses. O'Connor wore a gray sweater, ankle sweatpants, and slide sandals.

Manganiello shared during an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show in November 2022 that Bubbles is "very protective" and the first dog he's ever owned. "I always traveled and worked so much that it was ridiculous. I couldn't have a dog," he told Clarkson.

The Magic Mike XXL star said he adopted the Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix after discovering she was sick.

"She was peeing blood, and it turned out that she had a cyst that they were worried might be cancer," he said, expressing that he was happy to have the means to take care of Bubbles' medical bills. On an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show earlier that year, he spoke about their instant connection.

"I went downstairs, went outside, this little head pops up out of her lap and squirms, runs over to me," recalled Manganiello. "I pick her up, and she starts growling at everybody else, like, 'Get away from us. This is my man now. That's it.'"

Since then, he an Bubbles have traveled the world together.

At the end of September, a source told PEOPLE that he and O'Connor were officially "dating," adding, "They're both really funny together. He laughs at her a lot because she'll crack these witty jokes. She's really witty. So sweet and smart. And he's cool. He's cool as s---." The couple made their red carpet debut at the Children of Armenia Fund (COAF) Gala in December.

Manganiello was previously married to Sofía Vergara, whom he filed for divorce from in July after seven years of marriage, citing "irreconcilable differences."

Vergara, 51, shared an interview with the Spanish newspaper El País earlier this month that the two weren't on the same page regarding expanding their family.

"My marriage broke up because my husband was younger; he wanted to have kids and I didn't want to be an old mom. I feel it's not fair to the baby. I respect whoever does it, but that's not for me anymore," the Griselda star said.

On Wednesday, she revealed during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that her new dating rule is that she won't date anyone more than two years younger than her. The topic of dating was brought up after she was asked if she would date Bad Bunny, who mentioned her in a song and is 29 years old.

"Well no let's not go crazy, let's not go crazy. He is younger than my son Manolo. Manolo is 32," she said in response.

After being asked if she wouldn't date anyone younger than her son, she said, "To me, they can't be younger than 50, I'm 51."
