Julia Fox frees the nip (again) in a nude graphic printed dress
If you're a regular reader of the Cosmo Fashion section you will no doubt know the trend on every celebrity's lips – or, err, bodies – is naked dressing. Yep, this year we have not been able to move for the number of naked dresses our fave stars have worn on and off the red carpet. From see-through styles in the form of totally transparent fabrications to crochet, mesh and open-weave designs, as well as cut-outs galore, we have seen every take on the trend.
Alongside these more risqué looks that actually require some form of nudity, however small, the optical illusion naked dress has been growing in popularity as seen on Paris Jackson and Sabrina Elba. An alternative way to tap into the look, a screen-printed nude image is superimposed onto the clothing in proportion to the wearer's own body.
Confused? Just take a look at Julia Fox's latest 'fit to see exactly what we mean.
Attending the Soho House Awards in New York last night, Julia was seen arriving at the event wearing a cream satin halterneck mini dress. But rather than the low back or miniscule hem length capturing attention, it was the black and white image printed on the front we're here to talk about.
Depicting a topless woman from the neck down wearing a pair of frilly lace knickers and black lace hold ups, the image was strategically positioned in line with Julia's own torso. She styled the dress with towering platform Mary Jane pumps that reached all the way up to her knees with buckle fastenings. A black fluffy handbag completed the look.
In contrast to her daring look, it seems Julia looked to Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz for inspiration, styling her hair in pigtail plaits tied at the ends with black ribbons. A pop or orange eyeshadow (to coordinate with the red tips of her hair) and an XL smokey liner cat-eye flick formed her beauty look.
If we know one thing for sure, it's that Julia Fox will never fail to surprise us with her fashion choices. We can't wait to see what she wears next.
