Kaley Cuoco and Tom Pelphrey have welcomed a new pup into their home!

The Meet Cute actress, 37, announced on Saturday that she and her boyfriend have adopted of a new chihuahua, a senior pup who is apparently named Red.

The revelation came in the form of an Instagram Story of the little dog adorably posing with his tongue hanging out, alongside the caption, "I guess he's staying."

In the photo, the sweet pooch wore a little bandana around his neck that appeared to feature cartoon animals, as he posed with his ears pricked up.

As well as the adorable portrait of her new pup, the actress also posted photos that showed her and her new friend cozying up on the couch, the dog spending some time with Pelphrey, and Cuoco staring at him as he looked in another direction.

"Thank you @jenconf & @lizrizomakeup for trying to find this senior chi a home the last few months," Cuoco wrote on her Instagram Story. "I guess he found one LOL."

Liz Rizo, the makeup artist that Cuoco tagged, had been posting about the pup, named Red, since July — from sharing a fundraiser for his dental work, to posting a bit about his origin story.

In a video posted by Rizo in September — which featured a montage video of clips of the dog and Instagram Story posts from the Cuoco — an earlier Story from the actress showed her writing that people were "desperately trying to home" the pup after he was "found wandering" through Los Angeles.

"We are taking care of his teeth and I will take care of first home package and another initial vet treatments treatments if he needs," Cuoco wrote at the time. "PLEASE DM Liz if interested in this love!"

As it turns out, Cuoco herself was interested in the dog, as Rizo wrote on Instagram over the weekend that Red had found his "forever home" with Cuoco and Pelphrey.

"Thank you for opening your home and hearts," she wrote to the pair.

Cuoco, who already has quite a few pups of her own, opened up to PEOPLE last month about her decision to launch her pet care brand, Oh, Norman!, and how her 7-month-old daughter Matilda has been adapting to her (then) four rescue dogs Ruby, Opal, King, and Blue.

"Oh my God, she got thrown to the wolves literally," Cuoco said.

"After she was born, I'm like, 'If this child doesn't like dogs, I might have to send her back. There's no choice. This is your life. This is it," she added. "They have jumped on her. They have crawled across her. We have let them lick her, kiss her. Our pediatrician was like, 'It's okay.' So they love her so much."

After already spending time with four dogs, taking on her first plane flight with mom, exploring the aquarium, and learning all about Halloween this year, it looks like Matilda has even more fun on the cards with the family's latest four-legged addition.
