Katie Price declared bankrupt again

Katie Price has been declared bankrupt for a second time.
The former glamour model - who was previously declared bankrupt in 2019 - owes more than £750,000 to HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) and failed to respond to the organisation over the debt, a court was told on Monday (19.03.24).
Insolvency and Companies Court Judge Sebastian Prentis said: He said: “There has been no response from the debtor. The papers are in order.
“There is a substantial debt due from Ms Price to HMRC, and therefore I will make a bankruptcy order.”
The judge explained the £761,994.05 bill “derives from self-assessments from the year 2020-2021 and from the year 2021-22” and includes income tax, VAT, surcharges and interest.
HMRC had issued a bankruptcy petition in October 2023.
Katie wasn't present for the hearing, which came just days after she was fined £880 for driving without a licence or insurance in August last year.
And last month, a different High Court judge ordered the 45-year-old mother-of-five to pay 40% of her income from OnlyFans to trustees for the next three years in a separate dispute over unpaid debts, with the hearing told she will face further questions about her finances in April.
Last year, Katie insisted being sent to prison would be a "win-win sitatution" because she was "fed up" of being embroiled in various legal proceedings.
She said on 'Michelle Visage's Rule Breakers' podcast: "The bankruptcy I'm in, I actually think it's quite good for me to be in a bankruptcy, and it's good because I can see everything that's going on now.
"Whereas before, I was in the fast lane. I'm so threatened with court letters.
"I've been to court more times than I've had hot dinners lately. I am not scared of court anymore. I have said, 'Can't you put me to prison just to cover it all? Just be done with it.'
"I genuinely don't care if I go to prison. Because it's done then."
And if Katie - who has children Harvey, 21, Junior, 18, Princess, 16, 10-year-old Jett and nine-year-old Bunny from previous relationships - ever does end up in jail, she would be prepared to "do a story" about her life behind bars when she is released.
She said: "I love all the prison stuff and I can experience what it's like in there. "I could do a story when I come out of me in prison, and it's a win-win situation isn't it? It wouldn't affect my job, it wouldn't affect nothing.
"I wouldn't be in there long. If they keep threatening me, just do it. 'If you do this you could go to prison ...' Just do it."
