Kelly Ripa Joins Madonna Onstage During Final Madison Square Garden 'Celebration Tour' Show
The 'Live with Kelly and Mark' host joined the pop star for the vogueing portion of the concert on Monday
Madonna was joined by another special guest onstage during her third and final Madison Square Garden Celebration Tour show in New York City on Monday.
The musician pulled Kelly Ripa up in front of the crowd to help judge her backup dancers' vogueing skills during a portion of her show inspired by her 1990 hit single, "Vogue."
Ripa, 53, was all smiles sitting next to Madonna, 65, on a bar chair as both of them handed out 10s across the board for the dancers' performances.
Madonna — who has been wowing audiences in North America and Europe on her 79-date Celebration Tour — wore a glittering corset with a pair of fishnet stockings during the vogueing competition. She teamed the purple outfit with matching gloves and heels.
Ripa, on the other hand, was clad in a black jumpsuit with a purple feathered belt tied around her waist.
On Tuesday morning, Ripa — a longtime fan of Madonna and still in her makeup from the night before — recounted her moment with husband Mark Consuelos on Live with Kelly and Mark.
"I’ve had a 40 year relationship with Madonna — in my mind, to be clear. But last night, something happened that I can’t really put into words. Should we just show it? I just want to show you what happened last night," the daytime talk show host said, before playing footage of her appearance for the audience.
As Ripa watched, she said, "I’m glad that you guys have this footage because I don’t remember this. They handed me a football and I had to throw it!"
A regular fixture at Madonna concerts, Ripa said that she attended this latest show with Consuelos, Demi Moore, Anderson Cooper, Andy Cohen and others. "We're kind of like Madonna's groupie posse," she said, with Consuelos joking that they were "the oldest groupies in the world."
Ripa then recalled her reaction when she first found out she was going out onstage. "They’re like, 'You’re going to go on stage with Madonna.' And at that point, I, Kelly Ripa, died," she shared.
"And so the ghost of Kelly is now walking over. And I’m hearing words and they’re not really making sense. 'She’s going to give you a football. You’re going to have cards in your hands. Things are going to happen.' And I am just sort of going, 'Why are you talking to me? I died. Shouldn’t the paramedics come?' " Ripa continued, revealing that she tried to focus on one thing: "Kelly, do not look too eager and when they take your photo, keep your mouth shut."

However, in the moment, she wasn't able to do it, showing a photo of the two of them with her mouth wide open. "In my mind, I’m like, ‘I’m doing it. My mouth is completely closed so I look cool just like Madonna,’ she explained.
Despite that, Consuelos was one proud husband. "I am so proud of you. You looked gorgeous, you’re so cool, she loves you," he said, adding later, "You look beautiful."
Ripa, meanwhile, has just been one of the many surprise guests that have joined Madonna onstage for the fun portion of her concert.
During December's tour stops at the Barclays Center, Madonna brought out boyfriend Josh Popper as well as Julia Garner, who was once the choice to portray the singer in an anticipated biopic written, produced and directed by the pop star.
In the past, Madonna has also been joined by the likes of Arca, Debi Mazar, Diplo, Donatella Versace, FKA Twigs and Julia Fox, among others.
