Kerry Washington’s Cropped Bob Was Everything at the Emmys

The red carpet may have been absent from the Emmys this year, but Kerry Washington still looked red-carpet ready. The Little Fires Everywhere star rocked a brand new blunt bob, crafted by Kim Kimble, to her 2020 Emmys viewing party at her "work wifey," as she called her in her Instagram Stories, Reese Witherspoon's house. To say Washington looked utterly sleek would be the understatement of the century.

Washington posted a photo from Witherspoon's backyard yesterday, September 20th, just before the Emmys started. She showed off her new 'do (likely a wig, knowing how Kimble works her magic) paired with a floral Oscar de la Renta gown.

"Little Flowers Everywhere," Washington captioned the pic.

Little Fires Everywhere was nominated for an Outstanding Limited Series Emmy and Washington received an Outstanding Lead Actress nom for her role as Mia Warren.

Halfway through the evening, Washington switched up her look, changing into a sequined Dolce and Gabbana wiggle dress—yet the bob remained the star of the show.

She and Witherspoon videoed into the Emmys, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, to request that 2020 end, uh, now hence the New Year's Eve accessories. They counted down to the new year, which they are allowed to do because "we're Emmy-nominated television producers," Witherspoon said.

Although the 2020 Emmys didn't feel as glamorous as they usually do, we loved that Washington got into the red carpet spirit and brought some Grade A looks to the table. We thought our lust for a quarantine cut had passed, but Washington's bob is making our hair scissors look real friendly right now...
