Kerry Washington’s thigh-high red boots are a sultry fall staple

Fall is all about layering; pairing a sweater with a skirt and tights, matching a long jacket with a mini dress, slipping on thigh-high boots with a tunic dress. There are so many options that the sky is the limit. Currently, we’re loving Kerry Washington’s red thigh-high Stuart Weitzman boots that are the sultry staple we need to amp up our wardrobe this season.

The actress paired her cherry-red thigh-high boots with an oversized black and white plaid tunic dress.

While you’d expect the bold pattern and bright color to clash, it works! What’s black and white and red all over? It’s this look. And yes, as Tim Gunn would say, Kerry made it work. These boots are a wonder; with their slight heel and “tight but not too tight” fit, not to mention their hue, these are shoes that get you noticed.

Though you could wear these boots like Kerry, we can’t help but imagine them with a pair of black jeans and a favorite old tee. Or maybe even a little black dress. You could even match your lipstick to the boots for some extra oomph.
