Kilburn High Road: Two people stabbed outside London Overground station as police shut busy road

Two people have been stabbed opposite a London Overground station in North London.

Emergency services were called shortly after 12pm on Thursday to reports of a stabbing near Kilburn High Road Station.

A woman in her 20s was rushed to hospital and her condition has been assessed as non life-threatening.

A man in his 50s also suffered a slash wound to his hand and was taken to hospital.

His condition has been assessed as non life-threatening.

Police have confirmed the man and woman are known to each other.

A 21-year old man has been arrested for possession of an offensive weapon and grievous bodily harm. He has been taken to hospital before being taken into custody.

The London Ambulance Service said: “We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car, and an incident response officer. Our first paramedic was on the scene in under five minutes.

“We treated two people at the scene. We took one patient to a major trauma centre and one to hospital.”

Kilburn High Road was closed off due to the incident.

Part of the busy north London street had been cordoned off by police with a forensics van spotted at the scene.
