Kim Kardashian's twisted pigtails are our new hair obsession
Kim Kardashian's challenging year and subsequent divorce have dominated headlines recently, but as the ancient proverb once said: when the going gets tough... do your hair.
In the last month Kim appeared to be easing off the hair transformations she's become so famous for, instead, sharing nostalgic throwback pictures in honour of her late father's birthday.
In one she could be seen rocking a '90s chin-length bob and black velvet dress (remember The Craft?). Another, which she captioned "16 year old KK", saw Kim squinting into the sunshine without a scrap of makeup on and super-curved, skinny eyebrows. (We all did it, and we've all been growing them back ever since).
Kim even gave her daughter North a '90s-inspired hair makeover recently, straightening her natural curls and adding two micro-bunches as a finishing touch. She captioned the shot "My pretty girl" ❤️ and we couldn't agree more.
After cutting back on her own hair makeovers, Kim's recent Insta activity proves she might just be getting back in touch with her experimental side again. In a set of stories taken during birthday celebrations for her brother Rob, Kim revealed an incredible new look: twisted pigtails, gelled-down edges and a graphic eye liner on pink lids.
She then spent the night eating Armenian food, playing Taboo and "trolling" her friends with endless insta footage, but as far as we're concerned, Kim's sci-fi hairstyle stole the show.
Thanks for the new hair inspo, Kim. We're practicing our twists as we speak...
