Can you believe that on October 17th of this year, Halloweentown turned 22 years old? We certainly can't, and it appears as though the star of Halloweentown (and Halloweentown II: Kalabar's Revenge and Halloweentown High) Kimberly J. Brown can't believe it either. Brown took to TikTok to recreate an iconic look from her character, Marnie Piper, in the 1998 debut film, and pack it up, people, Brown won TikTok and spooky season.

Brown posted an October 17th TikTok video celebrating the Disney Channel original movie's milestone anniversary, and since then it's been shared across many other social media platforms. Because, well, it's too good not to be.

"Just wanted to see if it still fits..." Marnie—er, Brown—captioned her TikTok video.

Matching purple hat and robe? Check. Red-on-red outfit underneath? Double check. Those wicked late-'90s chunky red boots? Oh, absolutely check. It's all here, and it's all 100% Marnie Piper.

Brown also took to Instagram the same day to commemorate her time spent on the first Halloweentown film.

"In 1998, this 13 yr old girl spent her summer playing the teenage witch granddaughter of Debbie Reynolds in the @disneychannel film #Halloweentown, having no idea what special magical life the film would have yearrrsss after it premiered," Brown began in her Instagram caption.

She continued, "And here I am, on its 22nd anniversary, profoundly honored and humbled that people still want to watch it every year and share it w/their families. While I was so inspired by playing Marnie and by sharing the screen w/ Debbie and the amazing cast; I never could have known how much magic and inspiration you the fans would show me year after year."

"I’ll never be able to truly express what it has meant to me," Brown wrote. "Happy Anniversary #halloweentown, Marnie is so grateful for all the magic."

As is true with so many of us who grew up with the Halloweentown movies, Brown finds herself being influenced by the films in every aspect of her life—including the Etsy shop she cofounded called Craftily Creative where she designs and sells Halloweentown-related merchandise.

As they say, especially during this time of year, if the witch hat fits, wear it—but it looks like Brown already got the memo.
