Lady Gaga Shares Pics Mid-Eyebrow Bleach Before Going Full Vintage Gaga at the “Chromatica Ball ”Premiere

Lady Gaga is back, baby.

The 38-year-old pop star served up a healthy dose of nostalgia with an OG Gaga-esque look for the premiere of her new HBO concert special, Gaga Chromatica Ball. On the Thursday, May 23 red carpet, the singer wore a white Selva ensemble with metal cage and grommet detail that recalled the heyday of some of her wilder outfits.

On Instagram, Gaga shared her take on the outfit, writing, "On the red carpet I told them it was a car part. They said what kind and I said I don’t know, I’m not a mechanic.”

The star’s beauty look was also reminiscent of the daring avant garde style that shot her into superstardom in the early 2010s. Her bleached eyebrows and jet-black hair (featuring baby bangs) echoed back to her former albums like Born This Way and The Fame Monster, while her colorful makeup look was a nod to her Artpop era.

Fans on Instagram were quick to call out the look’s similarities to Gaga's past memorable fashion moments.

“This has so many ARTPOP vibes,” one wrote in the comments section of the singer’s post. “... I’m loving it absolutely EVERYTHING. I’m going to cry a little.”

“Somehow this look has all of your albums/eras energy,” said another. “You are INSANE and we love you for this. MY MOTHER!”

Before heading to the premiere, Gaga shared a behind-the-scenes snap of her eyebrow-bleaching process. In the selfie, the singer has plastic wrap over her brows, which are slathered in bleaching dye. She’s also rocking bleached blonde hair, signaling that her red carpet hair look was a wig, though that’s certainly not out of the ordinary for Gaga.

“See you in 3 h 30 min,” the star wrote over the image.

Gaga also attended a Q&A session about the project, which follows Gaga’s 2022 Chromatica Ball tour stop at Dodger Stadium in L.A., where she performed hits like "Just Dance" and "Poker Face" to a sold-out crowd of 52,000 people.

Chromatica was released in May 2020 and featured hits like "Stupid Love" and "Rain on Me" featuring Ariana Grande. The Chromatica Ball tour spanned 20 shows across Asia, North America and Europe from July 2022 through September 2022.

The singer chatted about the film while wearing a dramatic black ensemble that included a long black skirt, structural lace jacket and eye mask.

She attended the Q&A with her boyfriend Michael Polansky, whom she has been dating since 2020. In April 2024, the couple sparked engagement rumors when Gaga was spotted wearing a diamond ring on her left ring finger while out and about in L.A.
