Lainey Wilson knows exactly who she wants to get in the studio with next!

The country music star, 31, revealed in a cover story interview with Billboard published on May 9, that her dream collaborators include Victoria Monét and Lana Del Rey.

Wilson shared that she developed an interest in collaboration with Monét, 35, after watching her perform at Clive Davis' annual pre-Grammys Awards party this year.

"She just turned it on. At the Grammys, her [victory] speeches were from the heart," she added. "I was like, ‘I want to be her friend.’"

At the Grammys, Monét took home the awards for best R&B album, best engineered album non-classical and best new artist.

During her best new artist acceptance speech, she emotionally reflected on her "15-year pursuit" to success.

"I moved to LA in 2009. And I like to liken myself to a plant who was planted and you can look at the music industry as soil and it can look to be looked at as dirty or can be looked at as a source of nutrients and water. And my roots have been growing underneath ground unseen for so long. And I feel like today I'm sprouting finally above ground," said Monét.

It's no surprise Wilson also named Del Rey, 38, as a dream collaborator, given that she scored five nominations at this year's Grammy Awards and previously announced the upcoming release of Lasso, a country album, due out in September.

Like Del Rey, Wilson is also keeping busy.

On Thursday, she announced the upcoming release of her fifth studio album, Whirlwind.

"That’s what my life has been the last couple years. I hope this record brings peace to your 'whirlwind' and wraps its arms around you like it did me when I was writing and recording it. August 23. Pre-order and pre-save it now!" wrote Wilson next to the cover artwork on Instagram.

The upcoming album is "a daringly honest look into the country star's life and journey around the globe," according to a press release.
