A burst water main has blocked lines between Stratford and Tottenham Hale, meaning trains through the stations may be cancelled until further notice.

Trains between the stations via Lea Bridge are being disrupted due to the water pipe flooding the rail lines at Lea Bridge.

Thames Water have been made aware and are dealing with the incident.

Earlier on Tuesday, Overground trains could not travel to or from Stratford after a lorry collided with a bridge in north London.

The accident happened between Camden Road and Caledonian Road & Barnsbury stations at around 10.10am on Tuesday.

It comes after more than 24 hours of major disruption to one of the UK’s busiest lines serving London Waterloo, with the route between Woking and Surbiton affected until about 10am on Tuesday.

Minor delays on five lines

There are currently minor delays on five lines.

There are minor delays on the Bakerloo Line and Victoria Line due to a shortage of trains.

There are also minor delays on the Central Line between Marble Arch and Ealing Broadway and westbound to West Ruislip due to a faulty train.

There are also delays on the District Line between Turnham Green and Richmond due to points failure.

There are minor delays on the Elizabeth Line between Whitechapel and Shenfield due to an earlier faulty train at Liverpool Street.

Delays on Elizabeth Line after train fault at Liverpool Street station

There are delays of up to 20 minutes between Paddington and Whitechapel on the Elizabeth Line during rush hour after a train fault at Liverpool Street.

National Rail has said a train has come to a stand with a fault, blocking some lines.

A burst water main near the tracks has caused disruption to Greater Anglia trains between Stratford and Bishops Stortford.

This was first reported at around 9.30am today and it is still the case now.

Overground disruption at Stratford continues

Overground lines near Stratford have reopened following a road vehicle colliding with a bridge earlier today between Camden Road and Caledonian Road & Barnsbury.

However, as services recover, London Overground services may still be cancelled, delayed or revised, officials have said.

Disruption is expected until 2.30pm.

Disruption on Southern and Thameslink

A safety inspection of the track between Purley and Gatwick Airport via Redhill means that some lines are disrupted.

Trains running between these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 20 minutes or revised, passengers are being warned.

Affected services include Southern between London Victoria and Reigate / Ore / Southampton Central / Littlehampton / Eastbourne / Bognor Regis / Portsmouth & Southsea.

Thameslink is also affected between Peterborough and Horsham, and between Cambridge and Brighton, and between Bedford and Three Bridges / Brighton.

Bus smashes through pub window on busy Soho street

A bus dramatically smashed into a pub window in one of London’s busiest shopping streets on Tuesday morning.

A number 9 bus crashed into a branch of All Bar One on New Oxford Street just after 10am, forcing the road to close.

A Met Police spokesperson said there were no reported injuries.

“We were called at 10.16am on Tuesday, March 5, to reports that a bus had collided with a pub in New Oxford Street, WC1,” said the spokesperson.

"Officers responded. There were no reports of any injuries.”

No Overground trains to/from Startford until at least 1pm

TfL confirms Silvertown tunnel will open in 2025

Motorists will have to pay tolls to use two tunnels under the Thames in little over a year, Transport for London have confirmed.

It said the £2bn Silvertown tunnel would open in “summer 2025” – at which time tolls, charged at the same rate, will also be introduced on the nearby Blackwall tunnel.

TfL granted the Evening Standard access to the Silvertown tunnel site last week to show how work – which is four years behind the original opening date envisaged by previous mayor Boris Johnson – is progressing.
