Lorraine Kelly has returned to work after being sent home ill, insisting it was just a "buglet".

"It was just a buglet and normally I can bat them away but this time it was a cracker. It's all good."
She announced on Twitter: "When you have to be sent home from work early in the morning because you are suddenly attacked by a hideous bug and were looking forward to interviewing @adamlambert THAT! Beyond disappointed but imagine if I had infected him !!!!!!"
The next day when asked how she was feeling she said: "Much better ta - see you Monday xxx"
The TV star's last unscheduled absence from the morning show was in July 2022 when she had COVID-19, which she admitted "completely floored me".
Kelly took a week off from hosting her show due to testing positive for coronavirus.
She revealed on her return: "Do you know, I'm fine. It was a nasty one, the dreaded COVID got me and it's a nasty one. The worst headaches I think I've ever had in my whole life.
"[It] completely floored me, I couldn't actually get up without feeling really weird but I'm absolutely fine now.
"Thank goodness, as I kept saying all the time, that I got the vaccine."
Kelly lost 1.5st after becoming an ambassador for Weight Watchers in a bid to combat the pounds she had gained "comfort eating" during the COVID-19 pandemic.
She said at the time: “I comfort ate and would just find myself hovering around the biscuit tin and the fridge for all sorts of goodies.
“I wasn't doing as much exercise and mindlessly eating, just eating for the sake of eating. Now I’ve got much more of a balance.”
