Lottery supports children’s causes with £233,000
Four charitable causes for children in Jersey and Guernsey have been awarded a total of £232,631 from the Channel Islands Lottery.
The St Brelade’s Youth Project’s Skate Park Project in Jersey was awarded £40,000 of lottery funding and Brightly, a charity that awards grants to children and young people being supported by the Children’s Service in Jersey was awarded £30,000.
The Trauma Recovery Centre in Guernsey, which provides individual therapy sessions to children and young people was awarded £137,971 and Amherst Primary School PTA was awarded £24,660 for repairs to the playground.
Lottery head Jon Taylor said he was "thrilled to see the significant positive impact of CI Lottery funding for local children's charities and voluntary groups".
"We are honoured to be able to provide them with lottery funding through the distribution providers, to help support their excellent work," said Mr Taylor.
Other Channel Islands' charitable causes working to help children that have been supported by lottery funding include Every Child our Future, Art in the Frame Foundation, St Clement’s School and Touch Trust Therapy at Mont a L’Abbe School.
