A man that claims he is being haunted by the ghost of a dead child called David has shared terrifying new videos online.
Adam Ellis, from New York, has revealed security camera footage of his cats being spooked by what appears to be nothing, before objects appear to move on their own inside his apartment.
During the night on Saturday, while I slept, it recorded the cats in the living room. It seemed pretty unremarkable at first.— Adam Ellis (@moby_dickhead) September 6, 2017
I was going over the feed from this weekend, and noticed some weird stuff.— Adam Ellis (@moby_dickhead) September 6, 2017
You can watch the creepy videos above.
Adam achieved viral fame last month when he started to document the ghostly activities of a potentially-harmful childlike entity, known as 'Dear David', that he claims is wreaking havoc in his apartment.
In his long Twitter thread, he tells of how one night he woke up with sleep paralysis and saw the figure of a boy sitting in a rocking chair at the end of his bed.
He had a huge misshapen head that was dented on one side. I did my best to draw it: pic.twitter.com/AJizlw7qXe— ˗ˏˋ ᴀᴅᴀᴍ ᴇʟʟɪs ˊˎ˗ (@moby_dickhead) August 7, 2017
“For a while he just stared at me, but then he got out of the chair and started shambling toward the bed,” he says.
“I couldn't move because I was paralyzed. (I have sleep paralysis fairly often. It sucks.)
“Right before he reached my bed, I woke up screaming.”
A few days later, Adam had another concerning dream; this time he was in a library and a girl came up to him and asked him about seeing “Dear David”.
“She continued, ‘He's dead. He only appears at midnight, and you can ask him two questions if you said 'Dear David' first.’
“Then she added, ‘But never try to ask him a third question, or he'll kill you.’”
Dear David came back shortly afterwards, and Adam worked up the courage to ask him a couple of questions.
In the dream, I say, "Dear David, how did you die?" He mumbles, "An accident in a store."— ˗ˏˋ ᴀᴅᴀᴍ ᴇʟʟɪs ˊˎ˗ (@moby_dickhead) August 7, 2017
I say, "Dear David, what happened in the store?" He groans, "A shelf was pushed on my head."— ˗ˏˋ ᴀᴅᴀᴍ ᴇʟʟɪs ˊˎ˗ (@moby_dickhead) August 7, 2017
I'm frozen with fear. I ask, "Who pushed the shelf?" David doesn't answer.— ˗ˏˋ ᴀᴅᴀᴍ ᴇʟʟɪs ˊˎ˗ (@moby_dickhead) August 7, 2017
I realize that I've asked a third question, which I'm not supposed to do. At that point, I wake up, absolutely terrified.— ˗ˏˋ ᴀᴅᴀᴍ ᴇʟʟɪs ˊˎ˗ (@moby_dickhead) August 7, 2017
Fortunately for Adam, the apartment above him became vacant soon afterwards and he moved in there instead.
Dear David didn’t return for a number of months, but now Adam is starting to suspect he may have moved out of the dream world, and into real life.
He explains that for the last six nights, his two pet cats have been going to his front door at exactly midnight and just sitting there.
They're both there now. pic.twitter.com/rr1B4vD7LJ— ˗ˏˋ ᴀᴅᴀᴍ ᴇʟʟɪs ˊˎ˗ (@moby_dickhead) August 11, 2017
Update: for the sixth night in a row, my cat has walked over to the door promptly at midnight and stared at it. pic.twitter.com/97oSBLfOIw— ˗ˏˋ ᴀᴅᴀᴍ ᴇʟʟɪs ˊˎ˗ (@moby_dickhead) August 9, 2017
Last night I got a weird feeling and looked out the peephole, and I'm dead certain I saw movement on the other side.— ˗ˏˋ ᴀᴅᴀᴍ ᴇʟʟɪs ˊˎ˗ (@moby_dickhead) August 7, 2017
When I opened the door and turned on the hall light, nothing was there, but my cats seemed unnerved. Bushy tails, etc.— ˗ˏˋ ᴀᴅᴀᴍ ᴇʟʟɪs ˊˎ˗ (@moby_dickhead) August 7, 2017
And that's where I am right now. Dear David found me, I think. I don't know what to do. I'll keep you updated.— ˗ˏˋ ᴀᴅᴀᴍ ᴇʟʟɪs ˊˎ˗ (@moby_dickhead) August 7, 2017
Determined to get to the bottom of things, Adam went to the door one night and took a photo through the peephole. This is what he saw:
Is it just me or is is there something in the first photo, right where the bannister meets the shelves? Hiding on the stairs. pic.twitter.com/s1g9bRzOPj— ˗ˏˋ ᴀᴅᴀᴍ ᴇʟʟɪs ˊˎ˗ (@moby_dickhead) August 9, 2017
I deadbolted the lock and got in bed because I don't know what else to do. I can still hear my cat meowing at the door.— ˗ˏˋ ᴀᴅᴀᴍ ᴇʟʟɪs ˊˎ˗ (@moby_dickhead) August 9, 2017
He then tried something different and recorded the sounds in his house while he slept.
While Adam’s story is enough to give any non-believer goosebumps, it should be noted that he is a comic book writer by trade.
