Man Wins $300K Lottery, Plans to Spend It on Wedding Celebration With Pandemic Bride: 'Shaking with Excitement'

There’s some grandeur wedding celebrations on the horizon for a man who won the lottery in Canada.

Chi Chung Tsang who loves in Ontario, Canada said that he was feeling lucky and decided to play the Instant WOW! lottery game while waiting to get dinner with his wife.

Turns out his feeling was right, as he ended up winning $300,000 from the lottery game, according to Bradford Today.

“I was so excited, I started jumping up and down,” Tsang recalled. “My wife wanted me to check all the zeros because I thought I won $30,000. We started celebrating together when we saw $300,000.”

“I was shaking with excitement. I am so happy,” he added, while also thanking the store clerk, who kept the store open past closing time.

He picked up his winnings at at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto and even snapped a picture holding the large check worth $300,000 with a big smile on his face and a thumbs up.

As for what he plans to do with the big funds, he said, per Bradford Today, that he intends to share it with new wife, whom he married during the COVID-19 pandemic. He shared that he wants to give her a large wedding celebration — something they couldn’t have at the time.

“I want to take her back home so we can celebrate our marriage with family and a big party,” he said.

Tsang, who works in finance, said he loved playing lottery games with his loved ones and had been doing so for ten years before he earned the big payout.

"I love to play Instant games and I play them with my wife and mother,” he said. “This is my first big win.”
