Now, if you have no idea what I'm on about, firstly how (?!) and secondly, allow me to explain. Earlier this year it was announced that Margot would star as the Mattel doll in Greta Gerwig's movie interpretation, Barbie, alongside Ken, played by Ryan Gosling, no less.
And with such a monumental moment in pop culture history comes immense hype, including the actor staring on the cover of Vogue's summer issue. Not only do we love the pink aesthetics of said shoot, but the beauty aspect is a standout as well. More specifically, her cowboy curtain bangs.
Scroll through the five-part Instagram carousel post below to see all that we're on about:
It's giving cowboy Barbie; space Barbie; beach Barbie; prom Barbie. A woman of many talents – we love to see it.
Hairstylist Shay Ashual was the mastermind behind such creative looks and even managed to replicate Barbie's blonde bangs with, what we're assuming to be, a faux clip-in piece. That's editorial magic for ya, folk.
Other than the obvious Western-like 'do, my fave has to be her 50s bouffant quiff (see the last slide above). It's giving croissant vibes but in the best way possible, ofc.
As I always say: howdy howdy, Margot's getting rowdy. And by rowdy, I really mean hyped for the new movie's release. Let the countdown commence!
Barbie is set to release in the UK 21 July 2023.
