Vanessa Hudgens and Cole Tucker
It sure was the "Start of Something New" for Vanessa Hudgens (a.k.a. Gabriella Montez) when she met baseball player Cole Tucker on a Zoom meditation group during the COVID-19 pandemic. The pair made their red carpet debut in 2021 and by the end of the 2022 the two were engaged. After tying the knot in December 2023 in Tulum, Mexico, Hudgens hit the carpet at the 2024 Oscars showing off a growing baby bump and revealed the two were expecting their first child together. On July 4, 2024, Hudgens announced her baby had arrived and that "mom dad and baby are happy and healthy."
Ashley Tisdale and Christopher French
After years of crushing on Troy Bolton as Sharpay Evans, Ashley Tisdale found her real-life love with composer Christopher French. When the two wed in 2014, Tisdale tapped none other than her HSM castmate Hudgens to step in as a bridesmaid.
Tisdale and French share one daughter, Jupiter, whom they welcomed in 2021, and in March 2024 the pair announced they were expecting their second child.
When asked "how cool" it was to be pregnant at the same time as Hudgens during a Q&A on her Instagram Stories in May, Tisdale replied: “It’s very cool! I’m so excited for her and this new chapter in her life.”
Corbin Bleu and Sasha Clements
Corbin Bleu, who played Troy Bolton's best friend and teammate Chad Danforth in all three of the High School Musical films, wed fellow actress Sasha Clements in 2016 after first meeting at a grocery store in 2011.
"Getting married to Sasha was the best moment of my life," Bleu told PEOPLE of their Santa Susana, California, nuptials.
Bart Johnson and Robyn Lively
Bart Johnson, who played Troy's dad and coach Jack Bolton, has been married to actress Robyn Lively for more than 20 years. Lively (sister to Blake Lively) and Johnson are proud parents of three, though Mom admits that the kids aren't too impressed by their parents' jobs.
"They really are very uninterested in the work that we do, but I think that it's mainly because it's just such the norm for them," Lively said of their kids Baylen, Wyatt and Kate. "I'm like, 'You guys, you've never seen High School Musical. You've barely seen Teen Witch. You've barely seen Karate Kid. You have to watch these things. We're your parents!' But they're so cute."
KayCee Stroh and Ben Higginson
KayCee Stroh (a.k.a. Martha Cox) and her husband Ben Higginson have been married for more than 15 years and are parents to daughters Zetta and Lettie, who seem to have inherited their mom's dancing genes.
Olesya Rulin and Joey Pauline
After stepping away from her piano as composer Kelsi Nielsen, Olesya Rulin wed Joey Pauline in 2021. The two welcomed their first child together, Ondine Michelle Pauline, in 2022.
"Ondine Michelle Pauline. Thank you for choosing @joeypauline and I to be your parents," Rulin wrote when she announced her daughter's birth. "You have an army of a family that's been waiting for you. Thank you to all of the life lessons that have brought us to a place where we can welcome you with love in our hearts, peace in our minds, and gratitude in our souls."
