Miley Cyrus 'Is Incredibly Happy' with Boyfriend Maxx Morando: Inside Their 'Normal' Life Together (Exclusive)

The two were first romantically linked in December 2021, and PEOPLE learned in February that they moved in together

Miley Cyrus and Maxx Morando's relationship is steady and strong!

The "Flowers" singer, 31, and her drummer boyfriend, 24, are very content in their life together, a source exclusively told PEOPLE.

"Miley is incredibly happy with Maxx. Her life with him is very normal and calm. She's truly thriving," the source said.

The insight comes days after the couple enjoyed a date night out at Jinpachi in West Hollywood, Calif., on Monday, June 10.

"[They] were really cute," a separate source told PEOPLE of Miley and Morando during their dinner outing. "They were also friendly with everyone around them, talking to strangers about how good the food was and how it's one of their fave spots. She's just cool all around."

In February, PEOPLE learned from an insider that the pair, who were first linked romantically in December 2021, had moved in together.

“Miley has changed a lot in the past couple of years. She seems more calm and harmonious. Everyone loves Maxx. He’s a great guy. She is very happy with him. He’s private and doesn’t like being in the press. It’s been good for her," a source said at the time.

Miley recently spoke out about her estrangement with her father, 62, on a recent episode of David Letterman's Netflix series My Next Guest Needs No Introduction.

"There's not estrangement here with your father, it's just the way things are played?" Letterman, 77, asked.

Miley replied: "Yeah, I think what is so beautiful is that my parents, they served their children, and I know this. My parents served us and sacrificed so much for us. Anything we dreamed of, they made possible."

Of Tish, 57, who appeared on the special with her, the Grammy winner said, "Honestly, my mom is my hero."
