Netflix Top 10: ‘Griselda’ Debuts at No. 1 on English TV Chart as ‘Leave the World Behind’ Joins Most Popular English Films List at No. 8
“Griselda” reigned supreme as a queenpin of the Netflix Top 10 following its Jan. 25 premiere. Inspired by the life of notorious cartel boss Griselda Blanco scored 20.6 million total views during the Jan. 22-28 viewing window, and was No. 1 in 89 countries, making it the most watched title of the week. Starring and executive produced by Sofia Vergara, the series is created by Eric Newman and directed by Andres Baiz.
Meanwhile on the film side, “Leave the World Behind,” which previously spent several weeks at No. 1, joined, entered the Most Popular English Films List at No. 8 with 136.3 million views in its first 52 days on the streamer.

Also, F. Gary Gray and Kevin Hart’s “Lift” continued its No. 1 run on the English Films chart with 17.4 million views as Daniel Kaluuya’s dystopian directorial debut “The Kitchen” took third place with 7.7 million views and Adam Sandler’s “Leo” spent its 10th week among the top 10 with 2.9 million views.
Back on the TV side, “American Nightmare,” the docuseries that investigates a case the press dubbed “the real-life Gone Girl,” fell to No. 2 on the list with 13 million views after previously leading the English TV titles during the last interval. “Fool Me Once” garnered an additional 7.6 million total views in its fourth week among the Top 10 titles while “The Brother’s Sun,” which is also in its fourth week on the Top 10, landed at No. 6 with 1.9 million total views. Falling just beneath the latter project is “Boy Swallows Universe” which recorded 1.7 million total views.
Seasons 1 and 2 of “Yellowstone” made the chart again this week, landing at No. 5 and No. 8, respectively. The show made its Netflix Top 10 debut during the Jan. 15-21 viewing window after Netflix acquired the Paramount title.
Elsewhere on the chart is “Masters of the Universe” Season 1 (1.5 million views) and “My Life With the Walter Boys” (1.5 million views).
