Nick Viall is thinking about what it's going to take to be a dad for the first time.

In an exclusive clip from an upcoming episode of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, the Bachelor alum, 42, opened up about his unlikely participation in the physically and mentally demanding competitive reality show.

"Probably definitely should not be here. There's nothing about what I'm doing now that suggests I'm going to do well in this kind of environment," he acknowledged.

"But I recently found out that I'm going to be a dad, which is incredible. I want to know if it has what it takes to rise to the occasion and I think this experience will shape me and help toughen me up."
