Music fans in Newfoundland and Labrador won't have to just look at a photograph of Nickelback for much longer.
The Vancouver-based multi-Juno winners will hit the Churchill Park Music Festival stage in St. John's on Aug. 9 for their only Atlantic Canadian stop this summer.
Festival organizers announced the remainder of the lineup for the annual summer event on Tuesday.
Opening the show is the James Barker Band and sandwiched between are the Arkells — who are no strangers to the island and far beyond just honorary Newfoundlanders at this point in their careers.
Tuesday's announcement follows the buzz of concert details for Shania Twain, who will play the park for three nights straight starting Aug. 16.
Pre-sale tickets for Nickelback go on sale Thursday at noon. General tickets go on sale Friday at noon.
The band was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2023.
