Paging Dr. Robby — with some good news for once!

Noah Wyle and the cast and crew of The Pitt stopped everything on the set for Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center long enough to celebrate him being honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, according to a video that Warner Bros. TV shared on X.

Wyle, whose career has also included not only Max's freshman medical drama, but also work on TV's ER and movies such as A Few Good Men and Donnie Darko, is one of 35 people in the entertainment industry set to receive the honor in 2026, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced Wednesday.

The footage shows Wyle covering his face with a gloved hand — after all, he is a doctor — while a colleague talks about his career. He appeared surprised, too.

"I'm so embarrassed!" Wyle confessed. But he added that he was "so, so, so thrilled."

He then gave what appeared to be an impromptu speech.

"I did grow up in Hollywood. I used to walk home every day on Hollywood Boulevard from Gardner Street Elementary School, and I would put my foot over the Beery in Noah Beery Jr.'s name in his star, and I'd think, 'Oh, maybe one day.'" He added, "And I guess that day has come."

Beery, who died in 1994, was known for starring on TV’s The Rockford Files and in movies such as the 1960 classic Inherit the Wind, with Spencer Tracy and Gene Kelly. He was inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960.

For Wyle, a star is only the latest prize for a career that began in the ʼ90s. He earned five consecutive Emmy nominations in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series from 1995 to 1999, for playing John Carter on ER.

He was "so thrilled" that The Pitt is "the show that put it over the top" to earn him a star, he said.

He then joked, "We've got babies on the clock. We've got to wrap this up fast."

The Max series debuted its first season in January, and the second season is in the works.
