Last night saw Mike Pence take on Kamala Harris in the US Vice Presidential debate. The two politicians are going head-to-head in November's election, teaming up with Donald Trump and Joe Biden respectively.

But while the VP debate saw Pence and Harris take on important topics such as the coronavirus pandemic, abortion rights, and the climate, there was only one thing people were left talking about afterwards: the fly that sat on Mike Pence's head for a full two minutes.

Naturally, said fly instantly became an online sensation, with hundreds of thousands of tweets about the applaudable audacity the creature had to just... turn up and sit on the Vice President's head in the middle of a very important, televised event. In fact, as a result, the fly now even has its very own Twitter account with a casual 18,000 followers. Makin' waves.

What viewers enjoyed most, however, was seeing how Mike Pence didn't even try to swat the thing away. And better still, why it sat there - completely still - for such a long time. Flies never do that! It's all in the name, they like to fly!

Perhaps the most crazy thing about Mike Pence's Fly™ is how Joe Biden, in the opposition Democrat party, used it to further his own campaign. Posting a photo of him holding a fly swatter, Biden wrote, "Pitch in $5 to help this campaign fly" along with a link to his campaign donations page.

As if this is what politics in America actually is right now?!
