Monochrome outfits are stylish and simple to put together

Oprah Winfrey is blue (da ba dee) — well, her outfit is!

The media mogul wore a light blue turtleneck, matching trousers, and a coordinating suede-like blazer earlier this week as she headed on the go and spoke at an event in New York City, which she also posted about on her Instagram. Taking the monochrome look a step further, even her glasses, too, had blueish-gray rims.

Just one day before, Meghan Markle was seen wearing a ’fit that relied on this same blue-on-blue outfit equation. Instead of lighter colors that would surely pop on stage, like Oprah’s ensemble, the Duchess of Sussex chose a darker blue palette, one that’s more tailored to traveling. But regardless, both women looked exceptionally upscale in their monochromatic styles.

If you want to copy Oprah’s whole look, start with a basic turtleneck. The HieasyFit Cotton Turtleneck is a customer-praised pick with thousands of five-star ratings from Amazon shoppers.

It’s “butter soft and great quality,” according to one reviewer, and it’s “stretchy enough to pull over [your] head without messing [up your] hair or stretching out the neckline,” per a second shopper. The $22 shirt can be worn under a blazer, but it’s also great to have to wear it on its own when the weather is a little warmer.

The Siflif High-Waist Wide-Leg Palazzo Pants will make you look stylish, while keeping you comfortable, too. Since the silhouette is on the breezier side and there’s a stretchy elastic waistband, you’ll feel less restricted while sitting when commuting or at a desk all day, yet the style still presents professional, not shapeless or messy. Oprah’s pants look most similar to this pleated pale blue pair, but the royal blue and navy options could also be combined with twin-colored tops, blouses, or sweaters.
