Parents of 3 Identified as Victims Who Died in California Plane Crash: 'Heartbroken by This Loss'

A tech entrepreneur and his wife were killed in a plane crash in California on Saturday.
The single-engine TBM aircraft N960LP crashed near Glenshire Drive in Truckee while attempting to land at the Truckee Tahoe Airport just before 6:40 p.m. local time, the airport said in a Facebook post.
No homes were damaged, though some railroad tracks are in the process of being repaired, according to NBC affiliate KCRA. The plane initially took off from Colorado on Saturday afternoon.
Though the official cause of the crash remains unknown, there was moderate snow falling in the Truckee area with visibility of a half mile at the time, per the station.

Silicon Valley investment firm UpWest identified the victims as Liron and Naomi Petrushka.
"Our hearts are with the Petrushka family and their sons David, Scott, and Jordan," the company said in a statement on social media.
“Liron and Naomi were a significant force in the building and success of UpWest from its inception,” the company added. “They brought their entrepreneurial spirit and generosity to our fund, working with us and our founders on many pivotal milestones. Their home was always open as were their big hearts. We are all heartbroken by this loss.”

Einav Hazanvald, the chair of Liron’s former soccer club in Israel, said in an Instagram post translated by the New York Post that "Liron grew up in the club from the age of 10 and passed through all the teams in the club, including the adults’ team."

"He played with me in the youth team, where we won the national championship, as well as in the adult team," Hazanvald added.

In the Instagram post, the team said it “bows its head” over the couple's death.
The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating the crash.
