Pedestrian dead after being hit by vehicle in Kingston

Police in Kingston, Ont., say a pedestrian is dead after being struck by a vehicle Sunday night.

According to Kingston Police, the pedestrian was struck in the eastbound lanes of Bath Road east of Centennial Drive.

Frontenac Paramedics transported the pedestrian to hospital with life-threatening injuries, but they later died.

The lone occupant of the vehicle was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The roadway was closed until 1 a.m. Monday.

Kingston Police said they could not provide more information at this time regarding the incident.
