Playboy poker pro Dan Bilzerian hires Lance Armstrong to help train for next-level bet
American poker-playing businessman Dan Bilzerian is embarking on the wager of his life after accepting a challenge from fellow high-stakes poker player Bill Perkins to cycle from LA to Vegas in just 48 hours.
Notorious for making crazy bets, Perkins made headlines in January for betting poker legend Antonio Esfandiari a “massive” wager to lunge everywhere for 48 hours during a poker tournament.
Esfandiari was disqualified from the $7,100 buy-in event after he urinated in a container under a poker the table when he didn’t want to lunge to the loo.
Perkins’ latest bet with $804,000 ($600,000 US) at stake will see Bilzerian attempt to achieve a 483km cycling feat, even though he said he hasn’t ridden a push-bike in 18 years.
With just a month to train the 35-year-old is relying from a little help from his friends. And what better mate to help train for the epic journey than former professional road racing champion Lance Armstrong.
According to the high roller’s social media account, the Instagram King with 16.3 million followers woke three few weeks ago to a message from UFC commentator Joe Rogan advising the disgraced cycling great was keen to help him prepare for the trip.
During his two-day trek, Bilzerian will come up against steep climbs and desert conditions as he rides from California to Nevada, so he could do with all the help he can get!
The internet bad boy is known for his social media accounts filled with scantily-clad woman and firearms.
In 2014 he was sued after throwing porn star Janice Griffith off the roof of his LA mansion during a Hustler photo shoot into a swimming pool, but she missed the target and broke her foot.
