Plumstead: Car damaged in shooting as police appeal for witnesses

Detectives have launched an appeal after a shooting in south London left a car hit with bullet holes on Friday afternoon.

Armed officers swooped near Lakedale Road in Plumstead shortly after 1pm after reports of gunfire.

Scotland Yard said no victims had been identified in the shooting, but that officers discovered a vehicle that had sustained damage “as a result of a firearm discharge.”

An appeal for witnesses has now been launched.

A crime scene remains in place near the residential street.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “No arrests have been made and enquiries into the circumstances continue.”
